Accelerating Literacy for Students with Autism

OUR VISION

OUR VISION

The vision of Andrew's Gift Literacy Project is to accelerate learning, language development, communication, and positive behaviors for students with autism by partnering with classrooms to deliver evidence-based technology, high-quality resources, and expert on-site consultation.

At the individual level, we meet each student's unique needs. At the classroom level, we build teacher confidence and capacity so effective practices last long after the grant ends.

Literacy is the foundation for communication, independence, and lifelong learning. At Andrew’s Gift, we support literacy in its broadest sense — because strong skills in one area accelerate growth across all areas of a student’s development.

How We Support
3-Year Program

"Andrew's Gift and [our consultant] have both been a blessing in our classroom the past two years. I am so grateful for the input and resources we have been given.... It has been such a joy watching my students grow their skills and interest in early literacy and reading. Thanks to the abundance of resources, they are getting exposure to reading in the ways of visual, auditory, sensory, repetition, and so much more."
